The Sacrament of Confirmation is received during Sophomore year, so Confirmation prep starts the May of Freshman year at St. Pius with a mandatory meeting. You must be a parishioner to go through Confirmation prep at St. Pius X.
Never before have our youth been under such pressure to conform to materialistic values of the American culture. They deserve a Confirmation process in which the voice of the Gospel is as equally compelling. What resulted was a program unlike anything in the Diocese of Des Moines. It is a mentor-based program; one that is easily individualized and expects more from our teens than their simple attendance. This program calls our young people to go deeper in their faith and invites them to encounter Jesus Christ in a real way.
